In the GREAT state of Texas registration of a firearm is not required. Why should there be? Gun ownership is a RIGHT not a privilege. Big brother should NOT be breathing down our backs. Driving is a privilege, and occupations where the public is vulerable to scammers as far as ocupational specialty is concerned requires bonifide credentials. Ownership of a gun does not because it is a RIGHT, not a privilege. Going further it is a FUNDEMENTAL RIGHT. The guns I shoot are not my own, but my friends', he goes to the gun range a lot for target practice, and hunts a lot on his family's property in west texas. I have never owned a firearm myself, I never had much use for one, but if I wanted to buy used I can go to any Texas gun show, or to my nearest Academy Sports and Outdoors store. NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED. I prefer nonlethal methods of submission, but now I would like to exercise my RIGHT to own a firearm, when I decide to exercise that RIGHT. Concealed carry is alive and well in Texas, (which is an effective deterrent for crime) which I think would be a great thing for my wife and myself, but firearms in the hands of those who are law abiding citizens should not be scrutinized by this or any other state in the union, (especially the feds) which is why Texas is a free and independent state in this union, and Texas should exploit every freedom she has as states rights are being chipped away at by Dems in Washington. We in Texas WILL NOT be disarmed or have our 2nd ammendment right chipped away at by the federal government and dems in our state who seek to limit our rights. I bet they don't have multiple guns shows every week in all parts of Illinois, which is NOT unlawful in Texas, my friend; a law enforcement officer does not have a problem with open carry. So your FOID card is just another way to get the authorities there to stick there nose in your business, and if citizens of Illinois are fine with that, so be it, but here in Texas; our citizens say to those who would seek to take away that RIGHT say; BUTT OUT, it's none of your business. When we decide to arm ourselves with firearms we don't have to register, and won't. DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS!!!!

I will say this as I have said before, America has hit rock bottom and there is no where else to go but up , the dawning of a bright America is forthcoming I love my country with all my heart I have the brightest optimism for her future brave men have died to protect our right to freedom of speech I guess you could say I'm obsessed with trying to preserve our freedoms as Americans because I am of the opinion that someone is trying to attack them. In short let history be the ultimate judge of what is happening now. I am unhappy with the president and his policies that is no secret, but once again I feel his leadership is sowing discord among the nation. No one party should have full control I can agree with that. As I have said before there is a bipartisan solution if one side is going to seek it and it is simply not happening at this point .

My Convictions

I love America with all my heart I love my God and I love my Starbucks coffee! Excerpt to some constructive criticism concerning my style of posting on my page : I am not sure how to take that. Constructive criticism, or insult. When I joined the military, I was prepared to die for the American way of life, as I see it. God spared me. So yes, I have time to sip cups of joe, and talk politics. I try to be optimistic about my country, and loath...e those that exploit the freedoms I have and unilaterally try to yank them from me. We would not be able to have the freedom to speak our mind to this extent anywhere else in the world. This was achieved by God's grace. I know you may know me by the substance of my opinions that may come across as hateful, but they're not, these are my opinions reported by an organization I trust. I agreed to be a little more open minded. When I saw President of the United States in Dixon Illinois in 1983, I was too young to drink coffee, but I had an epiphany for things that I believe in. I will die living my convictions like my relatives before me who died protecting mine and yours freedom to express our opinions. We coexist, and yes I have a passion for Starbucks coffee, I don't want to be labeled a radical, but I will speak my mind, fear God, and live my life according to how I think God would like me to live it. We have to fight for what believe in, I am not a pundit, and those in the media exploit their freedom of speech on politics as a punchline in some sad joke, but they are free to do so. Brave soldiers died to give them that right to believe in God or not. I vote, and I am an advocate for veterans rights, and dare I say, a little respect. At my job downtown I saluted every vet I saw from wars going back to WW2 and current active. Respect them, you have the freedom not to. If you never voted in an election, educate yourself and make the best possible choice. If you have, great, be active in your community and stand up for something, mine is working with soldiers who lost their limbs and digits to learn to overcome ptsd and play music, and advocate for civilians whose lives were taken over and consumed with the idea that suicide is the only solution, it's not, there is a better way. I will fight for my freedoms till the day I die. I will speak my opinion as a voting American as I see fit. I WILL accomplish my mission, and yes, I will enjoy that cup of coffee, it's how I roll, it's my MO. Take care, and God bless America!

Christmas 2012

I think this Christmas is going to be special.  I think this will be the best ever. There are a few setbacks, but nothing that can't be fixed right?  My friend is going to get his police badge in about six months. My wife has a good job. I still contribute, my family loves me.  My mother and I are a different story. Starbucks at 8250 Agora Parkway  Ste 100 Selma, Texas 78154-1323 I love God, God is good. Thank you for taking the crooked, straight and narrow road that led straight to you Lord.

Is this happiness?

Well...what can I say? I seem to have all that I think God wants to provide to me. I am to be married in 2 weeks, I have a wonderful son and daughter, and wife that loves me with all of her heart. Everything appears to be stable. Just want to document my thanks to God and his angels in charge of maintaining the good in this world despite so much ugliness. Once again, I say thank you Lord!

That proverbial "naked feeling"

I have been stripped of my privacy by my ex girlfriend. She decided to look at all the pictures on my phone, and saw pictures of girls that she thought was questionable. Now she thinks I am untouchable. As if she is so pristine. I feel stripped of any feeling of privacy. Sometimes I want to slap her in the face, but since I don't hit women, I feel, however, she is one of the women that would deserve such a physical reminder that you just don't pry into peoples' business. What a pig. When I visited the cematary where my grandmother is buried, I stumbled across one man's gravestone that said, " Only God can judge me". Is that a statment of defience, or a humble, but bold and assertive statement? If it is the latter, than I want that as my epitath. I will be the first to confirm that I am NOT perfect. This just confirms for me for the time being that ALL women are not to be trusted, and that is an understatement.
